THE CYBERBULLY ISSUE
Social media is something very new and people are still "experimenting" with it. Cyberbullying is a big problem on these platforms I've named. At the moment the only way to solve this is when the person who gets bullied tells it to someone. I think social media platforms also need to change something to make cyberbullying happen less and preferably not happen ever. I don't know how but I think it is a solve-able problem so we have to try things and "experiment" like I said earlier.
MEDIA
This page is all about media and how it affects your life and what it has to do with art and design.
SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS
On the collage you can see al lot of the different media platforms. The biggest media platform which almost everybody know is WhatsApp. It is a world wide known chat program which almost everybody uses.
One of the less known platforms on the collage is discord (purple with a little sort of face). Discord is also a chat program. It is just like WhatsApp only here you can put what game your playing in your bio. It is also possible to make rooms in your chat, and you can give ranks to people.
Then you have instagram pintrest and snapchat. All social media platforms which have to do with pictures.
Instagram has probably the most to do with Art and Design, because it is all about taking pictures and nice angles good backgrounds and all the things that come with taking a good picture.
Pintrest is something we also use for school. It contains a lot of different pictures in all genres you like. And if you are looking for a good background picture for your MacBook you can also look on pintrest for nice pictures you would like.
And then we have snapchat. On this platform I personally don't really care about background, but what is cool about this platform you can add all kinds of filters which is very cool.
FAKE NEWS
Fake news is a big issue on social media. People spread the news to get attention or just to joke around. For instance if you would like to make someone look bad you can just post things about the person that are not true.
It also happens on youtube in a different way, on youtube it is called clickbait. It means that people click on the video because the thumbnail it something very cool, but it is photoshopped. Some people are good at photoshopping and they make really strange things fit very good in a picture.
HACKING
Hacking is also one of the social media issues. It can really effect people if they get hacked. Some people hack for a good purpose, for instance to help the security of a big company. Then hackers can hack them for money and help the company improve their security.
You also have bad hackers. Who hack people's instagram or facebook accounts. There are also hackers who have bigger targets like banks or the CIA.
DDoS attacks are also getting more common. That is when a hacker puts a bug in a certain website and asks a lot of things to the website and then it will stop working, but that is a different subject.
