   I chose it, because it is a piece which is very known and it is not finished so I thought that it would be good.

- What are your first reactions to the work?

   My first reaction was amazed, it is not finished but still very nice.

- What was the first word that came into your head when you saw it?

  The first things was: blocks.

- What do you notice first?

   The first thing I noticed was that even-though it is not finished it still does look good, and cool.

- Does it remind you of anything?

  No this painting does not remind me of anything.

  The artist used oil paint, tape, coal, and a pencil on a piece of cloth

   This painting is part of de stijl. It was a style in the Netherlands which was very popular. It was quit a long time ago.

   It is 127,5 × 127,5 cm

- When was the painting made?

   This painting was made from 1442 to 1444, it is unfinished.

I chose this piece of art because it was the first painting to show when I looked on the Mauritshuis website.

- What are your first reactions to the work?

My first reactions were, surprised. I learned about it in primary school and I was so impressed that people could make paintings this beautiful.

The first thing I noticed was her face, it is so well done that it just stunned me.

No, this painting does not remember me of anything.

I thought it was real when I saw it first, or it was just an set up animal.
